Senior Accountant



We are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant for our successful client in Axminster



The main duties of the role will include:

supervising and overseeing the Financial Accountant for the company ensuring its completeness, accuracy and timeliness

To maintain a current set of monthly Financial Package, with documentation that supports every balance sheet item.

management reporting, information and analyses, including forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning

providing meaningful financial information and guiding advice to local management in the day to day running of the operations E.g gross margin, analysis, cost center and spending analysis, Cashflow analysis, forecasting and other areas relating to commercial business and operational issues.

To lead in the areas of taxation, treasury and insurances, limiting exposures and protecting the assets of the company.

To initiate and ensure strong key financial controls are in place and to maintain a current.good set of audit control documentation and financial processes/procedures as required by US Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOA)



The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for Financial controls, forecasting, financial management information and analysis, compliance with accounting standards, directs preparation of strategic plans, operating plans and budgets. Shared responsibilities will include: Operational and management reporting, Operational and managerial decision making including commercial issues, Credit Control and debt recovery and management, Comply and participate in internal and external audits, work with the Financial Controller to ensure legal entity reporting is completed.



Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent in Cost and Management Accounting. AAT Technician/CIMA or equivalent

Experience within an American Company or large manufacturing company is preferred.

Audit experience is advantageous

IT knowledge is essential especially within Excel, SAP, Macros, BPCS and Hyperion.

Salary 34K-40K depending on experience.
