Job Title: Quality Manager <br>Location: Devon <br>Salary: £37,000 – 40,000 (+ bonus + benefits)<br><br>Are you an automotive Quality Manager looking to get into the Oil & Gas / Energy & Environmental sector? If so, and you share a passion for driving business excellence you may be interested in this opportunity…..<br><br>The responsibilities of the role are as follows:<br><br>· Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation<br>· Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues<br>· Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements<br>· Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers<br>· Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures<br>· Persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods<br>· Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications <br><br>To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills / experience: <br><br>· Degree qualified or equivalent experience <br>· In-depth understanding of automotive continuous improvement methodologies essential (APQP, PPAP etc)<br>· In-depth understanding of problem solving methodologies essential (8D, Ishikawa, 5Y, CAPA etc) <br>· Sex Sigma Black Belt Certified (preferred but not essential)<br>· Excellent communication skills <br><br>The successful candidate will join an organisation that is a beacon of hope within that has been expanding rapidly despite the economic downturn.
