Salary: £28k - £32k Neg + Benefits inc possible relocation



Our client is a leading UK supplier of ‘Off highway’ machines for specialist use. They are looking for capable and committed people for their design team who have the ability and desire to develop their knowledge and skills in a dynamic and demanding team-orientated environment. They are looking for a Senior Design Engineer and Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing and developing complete machine concepts for a range of their Client’s products which will need to meet a specific functional specification that is cost effective, reliable and it must be introduced in a timely fashion.



Requirements:



Ideally degree educated or minimum HNC qualification in mechanical Engineering, automotive or related discipline



Ideally you will have experience within the ‘Off Highway’ sector or specialist vehicles/construction vehicles or automotive vehicles. Other sectors considered if you can show design versatility



Component and assembly design from concept to production



Experience in automotive electrical systems and schematics beneficial



Must have 3D CAD skills preferably with SolidWorks or Pro/ENGINEER (other 3D CAD acceptable) although adaptation training will be given



An understanding of Structural analysis using first principles and FEA (ANSYS) beneficial



Engineering draughting experience for detail components and assemblies



Report writing and project information recording



Vehicle testing using data logging and other instrumentation



A good verbal communication skill at all levels including suppliers and customers



Experience with MS Office, particularly Word and Excel - General IT skills



Presentation skills – Must be able to present clearly





The role requires a self motivated Engineer with a creative natural flair for design, flexible with the ability to work unsupervised effectively and efficiently to tight deadlines.
