Senior Building Surveyor (Maintenance)



Key Responsibilities:



To be responsible for estate management & the effective delivery of the annual buildings programme as head of a team of professionals. To contribute to the promotion of the organisation in a positive manner through the delivery of well-built and maintained buildings and offices.



• Assess and report on the condition of property

• Provide accommodation and facilities to meet user requirements

• Maintain and monitor contract performance

• Manage the use of finance and resources

• Operate budgets

• Supervise Health and Safety

• Manage the performance of teams and individuals

• Provide specialist advice and knowledge



Essential experience:



• 5 years post qualification experience in the built environment

• A detailed understanding of local authority planning and building control legislation

• An understanding of building/contracting procedures & standard forms of contract

• A basic knowledge and understanding of Landlord & Tenant Law

• Ability to diagnose defects

• Ability to estimate the cost of building and maintenance projects
